OUR NEW BUILDING ADDITION
We are adding on to our existing 11,000 sq. ft building, and the new building is almost complete! Our new facility is 5,200 sq. ft. After seeing so much growth and expansion in the last few years a new building was necessary to house more warehouse materials and products. We recently added a second story, new offices, a packaging facility and expanded the shipping/receiving department to our existing building. This is the first photo of the completed building.
WANT TO BE THE 1ST TO TEST OUR NEW PRODUCTS?!
We are looking for customers to try out some new materials we have that we need customer feedback on. You will be required to write a detailed review on the product you are sent to sample. The first 5 people to respond to this will be chosen to test out our new picks! Please email endorsements@steveclayton.com if interested.

Even if you only pledged $5 you still got 3 MP3s from his CD “Four”. If you pledged $250 you would get 4 unreleased Bleu songs, and a 1 hour video chat or interview with Bleu on the art of songwriting! But if you pledged $450 you’d get Bleu to come to your house and he would cook you and 3 friends a 3 course meal! If you pledged $550 you would get custom Bleu Birthday Song! If you pledged $20 you would get his CD and some of his custom made picks by us. Watch his video for the campaign trust us you will be very entertained. What type of pick do you use?
When my strings are new I use Acetal .80mm. Once my strings have broken in and begin to mellow I switch over to Ultem .56mm. This is all with acoustic guitar playing, I play a Taylor with medium gauge stings. I switch over to the Ultem because it brings back out all the harmonics of my tuning.
How did you come up with the Eagle logo?
I started out with my last name Clayton on the pick, then I did a really extra heavy pick with an elephant on it, before home computers. The only way to look at graphics back then was to look at books of clip art. The clip art came on a sheet that you had to rub down to get it on the surface you wanted it to be on. Back in those days the heaviest pick was 1.00mm, but I was able to make a 1.52mm pick with the elephant. Much to everyone’s surprise, you could take the cheapest guitar off the wall and it make it sound better! Then one day I saw an eagle that seemed to come out of the Roosevelt era, which was an eagle that said made in America on it. I really liked the made in America part and thought it was nostalgic. So I took the made in USA out and put in Clayton USA. Then I alerted the eagle a little bit to make it more edgy. The eagle fit on the picks perfectly!

Our featured product this quarter is our S-Stone picks. S-Stone picks are made out of hard, durable plastic with a texture on both sides for a solid grip. They produce a smooth, crisp sound. The edges of the picks are contoured so they provide a fast, smooth release off your guitar strings. The S-Stone picks are available in 2.00mm, 2.50mm and 3.00. Here are what some of our customers had to say about the Stone picks:
"I have always been around guitars and had a interest in playing since I was
very young. I watched guys in my church and as I got older they started
mentoring me. I remember trying all kinds of picks they had but always liked
the way a thick gauge pick felt and reacted. I soon became a fan and my
style of playing felt best for a extremely heavy gauge pick. I have been on a search for the perfect heavy pick (I've tried a ton) when
I was given a Clayton S-Stone pick to try. Clayton has figured it out!!!
The first thing I noticed was how easy it is to hold being a very thick
pick. It has a contour that gives it a thin pick feel and built in grip
(easy to hold and control).
I also have used picks that are similar to this category and I always
noticed a "click" sound that the hard thick plastic delivers but the S-Stone
has reduced that considerably with their material and texture.
The short edge bevel gives the S-Stone detail needed for picking styles and
my friends that play lead guitar say it is great for control. I do a
combination of picking styles and rhythm so I hold the S-Stone at different
angles and can achieve bright tones all the way to warm jazz tones....have I
sold you on these yet?
I loose them often though. Not because I drop them but because I let someone
try one and they mysteriously disappear. If you haven't tried a pick gauge
this heavy, try a S-Stone. Part of my arsenal for sure.” - Mathias Anderle

"I want to thank you so much for everything. The quality of work surpassed my expectations, i'm very happy with the way my picks turned out. I will definitely refer anyone looking for quality picks to Steve Clayton picks. Thanks again, take care!"- Ana Tullio
"For many, many, many years I was a Dunlop Jazz III guy. But they always
felt a little soft to me, even at the 1.18 thickness. I had a jazz kat
I know lend me a pick at an open jam and crap if I didn't love it. It was a Clayton Ultem."
